Gratitude can change you.

Hi Reader!

Gratitude is such a powerful force. It has a physiological effect on our minds and bodies as it rewires our thinking and calms our nervous systems.

It keeps us out of our anxious spiraling thoughts.

It creates an anti-vortex for the pull of depression.

It reduces our overwhelm and helps us truly focus on what matters most.

God knew all of this when he created us. He knows what's happening in the world around us and the uncertainty we grapple with.

Yet, he's steady.

He says do not be anxious about anything, but with thanksgiving, present your requests to me.

Before we present our requests, let's pause and first notice what we are grateful for. It will change you.

The holidays can be hard. But we can embrace both grief and gratitude.

Today I'm grateful for -

A husband who relentlessly cares for his family and shows up every day.

My kids. They are each a gift to me in different ways. I love the relationship we have.

A colleague at work who is always intentional to call out my strengths.

Friends to spend Thanksgiving with when we don't have extended family to be with.

Friends who challenge me and keep me accountable.

The one friend who is like a sister - someone who speaks the truth, sees the best and let's me be me.

My puppy - his unconditional love and need to always be near me is a great comfort on weary days.

The RV life that we have been blessed to embrace. I love the travel, the adventure, the nature and the lessons learned that comes with it all.

You. I'm so grateful to be on this journey of learning, growing and building a family legacy with you. We aren't just homeschooling - we are discipling and building something that will last in the next generation.

What are you grateful for?! I'd love to hear! Hit reply and let me know!

Hi Reader! You know that moment when your child hits a wall and completely shuts down? Maybe it's during math. Maybe it's when they make a mistake. Maybe it's when something doesn't go their way. And no matter what you say or do, they stay stuck in that place of "I can't" or "I'm not good enough." I've been there. Both of my kids have struggled with this in different ways. And I used to think I just needed to push them through it or give them a pep talk. But here's what I learned: resilience...
